FULL PRODUCTION
You've Got an Idea.
We'll Build Around It.
Full production is exactly what it sounds like: everything. From the first spark of a concept to the final master file sitting in your delivery folder, Sky High Music handles the entire creative and technical journey. This isn't a handoff service. It's a partnership. Keith Crane doesn't take a brief and disappear for three weeks. He stays in the conversation — collaborating, iterating, challenging, and refining — until what comes out the other end is genuinely exceptional.
Full Production Makes Sense When...
You have an idea, a vision, or a creative direction — but you need an expert creative partner to build it into something real. Maybe you’re an advertising agency with a campaign brief and no in-house music team. Maybe you’re an independent film with a budget for one extraordinary score. Maybe you’re a brand that wants to build a sonic identity from scratch that will last for decades. Maybe you’re a recording artist who needs someone to help you make the record that’s been living in your head for the past four years.
In all of these cases — and a hundred others we’ve encountered over 35 years — full production at Sky High Music is the answer.
"Bringing a project from concept to completion requires more than technical skill. It requires a shared vision. That's the only kind of work we do."
What 'Full Production' Looks Like at Sky High Music
Every full production engagement is custom-built around the project. There’s no template, no assembly line, no ‘just add drums and vocals to the same bed we used last month.’ What there is: a thoughtful creative process, a deep bench of musicianship and technical expertise, and a producer who has been doing this since before your current favorite streaming platform was invented.
Here’s what’s typically included in a full production project:
Concept Development & Musical Direction
We start with a conversation. What are you making? Who is it for? What do you want the listener to feel? What are the references — and more importantly, what are you NOT trying to sound like? From there, Keith develops a musical direction that becomes the creative north star for the entire project.
Arrangement & Composition
Song structure. Instrumentation. Melodic and harmonic architecture. Whether we're building from a client sketch, a set of lyrics, a visual reference, or a blank page — the arrangement is where the project's identity gets established. This is where Keith's instinct for the unexpected becomes your competitive advantage.
Live Tracking & Session Work
Some projects need real instruments. Real performances. Real humans in a room playing something that you simply cannot replicate with software, no matter how sophisticated. We bring in world-class session musicians when the project calls for it — and it calls for it more often than you'd think.
Programming, Production & Sound Design
Modern production is a hybrid art. Electronic elements, programmed percussion, synthesized textures, sound design — these aren't shortcuts, they're tools. We use them with the same intentionality and musicality as any acoustic instrument.
Mixing
Once all the elements are in place, we mix with the same ears and the same standards we bring to our standalone mixing projects. Your full production gets the same attention to sonic detail that's earned us 35 years of client loyalty.
Mastering & Delivery
Final master. Platform-specific versions. Stems. Cue sheets. Broadcast files. Whatever the project requires on the other side of delivery, we prepare it. You focus on the launch. We'll make sure the music is ready.
The Room Matters.
So Does the Vibe.
There’s a reason some vocal sessions are transcendent and others are a slog. The room. The signal chain. The engineer who knows exactly how to get the best out of that particular microphone. The producer who knows when to push and when to pull back.
Sky High Music’s studio is built for vocalists. Great pre-amps, great mics, great acoustics — and a relaxed, encouraging energy that gives performers room to take risks. Because the best vocal takes almost always happen when the singer stops worrying about the take.
Let's Make Something That Outlasts the Brief.
The best projects don't just check a box — they become the thing that everyone else on the team brags about years later. That's the standard at Sky High Music. Not because we're precious about it, but because anything less is a waste of everyone's time. Tell us about your project. We'll tell you what it could become.
